Colorado Springs Driveway Paving

Your driveway is a path that leads directly to your home. You, your family, and your friends use this path more than anyone else, and that’s exactly why it should be the best driveway it can be. An old or damaged driveway isn’t just a bad look for your home, but it can even pose safety hazards to both your vehicles and your family.

Riley’s Asphalt is an asphalt paving contractor with thirty years in the business. We’ve paved countess driveways for numerous clients, and we’ve got the tools and skills to add your driveway to our repertoire.

How Riley’s Asphalt Stands Out

Riley’s Asphalt is a family-owned company that includes both a father and a son who have been working in the business together for decades. One of the owners is on site at every project, personally overseeing it to ensure that everything goes perfectly. We are flexible to your schedule, working at the times that are best for you.

We’re also fully insured, meaning you aren’t on the hook for anything that happens during a project. To us, each client is more than another customer: their family. We want our own driveways to be safe and beautiful, which is why we give our best to each of our clients so they can have the same. From start to finish, we will plan out the project and carry it to completion every step of the way. That’s how we distinguish ourselves from the competition.

The Driveway Paving Services We Offer

We offer a variety of driveway paving services here at Riley’s Asphalt. As for which one will be right for you, well, that depends on your situation and needs.

New Driveway Installation

Sometimes, you’ve got to build a driveway from scratch. Maybe you’re finally building your dream home, or maybe you’ve decided on a better spot for a new driveway at your existing home. Whatever the reason, Riley’s Asphalt can handle the process from start to finish, whether it’s working with your general contractor or directly with you.

That includes all the work involved in getting permits and inspections, and of course, the actual process of installing your driveway. If you need a new driveway installed, working with us is the best way to get it done hassle-free, without sacrificing any quality.

Asphalt Driveway Resurfacing

Asphalt resurfacing is a cost-effective way to extend the life of your driveway, and it’s quick and easy to do. Basically, we mill around transition areas like sidewalks, aprons, and garages, then lay 1.5”-3” of new asphalt over the existing asphalt.

As for why you’d want to consider this, there are a few reasons. Since resurfacing doesn’t require as much asphalt as paving an entirely new driveway, the cost of materials isn’t as much for this type of project. It also doesn’t require as labor as other projects, so that cost goes down too. Basically, driveway resurfacing is fast, cheap, and simple, so if your driveway isn’t in bad shape, resurfacing is the way to go. It’ll extend the life of your existing driveway for a fraction of the price of a new one.

Driveway Replacement

If your driveway has some serious issue, like problems with drainage or its foundations, you may need to consider full driveway replacement. Admittedly, this is costly, but it may be the only option if your driveway is beyond repair. In this case, we would remove existing asphalt, repair the base layer if required, and install new asphalt.

It’s tough to bite the bullet when it comes to driveway replacement, but if your existing driveway has deep-seated issues that can’t be addressed any other way, they are likely to worsen over time and cost your more money in the long run, as well as potentially pose a hazard.

Driveway Addons
If your existing driveway is fine but you just need more space, we can install new additions for you. This can include entirely new sections of the driveway, garage space, etc.

Driveway Repairs in Colorado Springs

Make no mistake, we pave all of our driveways to the highest standards. They are made to last and will endure for a long time even if no one takes care of them. But they won’t be infallible, and they will degrade over time without proper maintenance. This maintenance is something you can technically do yourself, but we also offer the following maintenance services when you need them:

Advantage of An Asphalt Driveway
Asphalt has a few key advantages over other driveway materials like gravel or concrete, which we cover in detail down below:

  • Quick Installation: In many cases, asphalt can be installed in as little as one day. Gravel can be installed quickly as well, but concrete takes significantly longer.
  • Affordable: Asphalt costs half as much as concrete, and is much cheaper to repair. This makes it an excellent choice for long driveways, especially if you want something a little more durable and presentable than gravel.
  • Long Lifespan: Thanks to its flexible nature, asphalt can last two to three decades, assuming it receives proper maintenance.
  • Eco Friendly: Asphalt is the most recycled product in the United States. Admittedly gravel is pretty eco-friendly too, but concrete, not so much.
  • Faster Snow Melt: Because asphalt is black, it retains heat from sunlight better, and this means snow and ice will melt more quickly on asphalt than it will on gravel or concrete.
