Project Profile: Dirt Driveway to Asphalt Conversion

final part of driveway being installed

We recently wrapped up a driveway paving project in Castle Rock, CO, nestled in the foothills with a stunning mountain backdrop. The location made for a beautiful setting—and thanks to a break in the weather, we were able to finish the job just before the rain moved in.

The existing 9,000 square foot driveway was all dirt, making it difficult to maintain and a challenge during wet weather. On day one, we installed 40 tons of compacted road base, creating a strong, stable foundation that will help the new asphalt stand up to years of use. The following day, our crew returned to lay 165 tons of hot mix asphalt, carefully grading and compacting the surface to ensure proper drainage and a smooth finish.

In just two days, the property was completely transformed—no more mud, ruts, or dust. Now the homeowner has a clean, solid, and long-lasting surface that not only improves functionality but also adds curb appeal and value to the property.
